All the grades have been learning about trees, life cycles, and seasonal changes.

Preschool:
We have been exploring campus through nature walks and leaf hunts.  We also have been exploring color.  We learned that yellow and red make orange.

Kindergarten and First Grade:
We have been learning about trees and how paper is made.  Using recyled paper, we made our own paper.

Kindergarten and first graders both adopted a class tree.  We gathered information, observed and sketched our trees.  The first graders have become "citizen scientists" and have shared their observations about their adopted trees to Project Bud Burst.   http://budburst.org/

Mrs. Treat's class chose a Beech tree and Mrs. Weiss's class chose a Red  Maple tree.

Kindergarteners had a great field trip to Bauer Park.  The Kindergarteners adopted and studied a maple tree there.

Halloween Fun:  We all have had a chance to do some fun Halloween STEAM activites.

First graders explored the bones in their hands and made cool x-ray prints.
